We love combining crafts and writing together to create the ultimate resource for elementary teachers. Students get some writing practice, but these also allow them to dip into their creativity. Adding a craft or art project to a writing assignment grabs student’s attention and heightens their investment in the activity. This is integrated learning at its finest! Halloween provides so many cute ideas for crafts that we couldn’t pass up this opportunity to share some options for you to try in your classroom this year.

⭐️ four different adorable ghost craft options
⭐️ a trick or treat craft bag
⭐️ four slides or pages for safety tips
⭐️ differentiated writing pages options

craft pieces
3 writing paper options
blank writing lines options

– All of the pieces shown both in color and black and white
– Multiple options for background pages
– Several drawing and writing pages for differentiation (with and without the prompt)

We hope we’ve inspired you to add some art projects and crafts to your classroom during this Halloween season! Teachers can find ways to incorporate hands-on learning experiences during differents subjects (even Math!). Not only are you allowing students to practice problem-solving during creating their craft, but research has shown that creating art reduces stress and anxiety. Since most of these activities are geared toward early elementary students, it goes without saying that we love practicing fine motor skills! With so many reasons to jump on the writing + craft train, we urge you to give these spook-tacular resources a try this season!
