We LOVE all things MERRY & BRIGHT, but we also love to keep kids engaged with tasks that will help teachers check off standards that need practiced or introduced. We want to kick off December with a list of some of our favorite craftivities. These include Math, ELA and writing and will be perfect to complete the whole month of December.
Let’s start with an absolute FAVORITE from last year: our Christmas Magic Math Band. Not only does this work for a variety of grades, the students adore it because they get to wear it out of the classroom! So fun! Check it out below.
What does this resource include?
– 3 different Magic Math band designs
– Number Recognition Practice to 10
– Addition Practice to 10
– Addition Practice to 20
– Subtraction Practice to 20
– Multiplication Practice to 100
– Division Practice to 100
Next up is our monthly craft and writing (comes in a bundle or by itself if you are interested!). These are AMAZING to do each month and put in a portfolio so you (and students…and families) can see just how much they have grown from the start of the year. If you are not doing a portfolio, these are an easy way to get some writing practice in with your students. There are two writing prompts available depending on the grade you are teaching. These translate to the cutest bulletin board or hallway display if you need a quick holiday one!
This product includes:
craft pieces
3 writing paper options
blank writing lines options
This next one, Family Traditions Writing and Craft, is truly great for most grades in elementary school. It can be done as a family project or together at school. We love this one because it is such an easy way to introduce different traditions and celebrations that students may have. They love having the opportunity to explain the traditions they each have with thier families and loved ones. This makes a great keepsake to take home!
This pack includes:
– An instruction page to send home for parents (optional)
– Blank house template to decorate
– Snapshots template for pictures
– 3 Differentiated writing page options
– Grading rubric
Last but not least, an oldie, but goodie! All Roads Lead Home Truck and Trailer Craft and Writing! This makes the CUTEST bulletin board and students truly love putting together this craft. There is a narrative, informative, opinion, and how-to option for the writing prompts which makes it easy for teachers to find a way to fit this into their curriculum. Hang this in the hallway and just listen to the compliments pour in!
