It’s hard to believe this school year is closer to the end than the beginning! Around this time of the year, teachers may be looking for some refresher activities to have on hand. We have some great options for early finishers, soft starts and station-work. All of our resources are perfect for Spring and are geared toward elementary-aged students.
We love to have some activities for early finishers because, as teachers, we know everyone works at different paces. It’s great to have a few different options and a specific place for students to find them and have the opportunity to choose what activity interests them. We have some coloring options if they need to unwind, some directed drawing options for our artists and some ELA and Math options for students who still like to be challenged.
Another use for these resources is if you have a soft start to your morning. Students may trickle in before you “officially” start your day and it’s nice to keep them busy and engaged with an easier activity. Again, we like to have a couple options that are easy for them to start and stop as the week goes on.
There are so many ways to use these resources, but the last way we see them used most is with stations. Each of these activities are easily understood with clear directions making it simple for students to start and finish on their own. They are not going to take up a ton of time so if you have a station for 15-20 minutes, students should be able to finish or at least get a good portion of the assignment done during that time. Thes are perfect for Spring stations!
