You don’t have to be an Art teacher to bring art into your classroom! Art pairs beautifully with writing so it’s an easy way to give students opportunity to express their creativity in multiple ways. Integrating art in the classroom can bring a variety of benefits. It enhances critical thinking, boosts academic perfomance and encourages emotional development to name a few! We hope this post gives you the confidence to try an art lesson in your classroom this year.

Most of these art lessons include project instructions, differentiated writing pages and drawing tutorials making them low prep and easy to implement. Students will love the opportunity to express themselves and teachers will love creating beautiful bulletin boards or hallway displays of their work. These would be perfect to do seasonally or anytime throughout the year paired with an ELA standard.
