Halloween week is officially here! Halloween is on a Friday this year so we have the whole week to incorporate some spooky activities. We’ve compiled some teacher resources we have yet to share that will be perfect to do at some point this week! We have some crafts, a little writing activitiy and of course, a bulletin board that is easy to put up and provides a great vibe for your classroom or hallway.
Why bother with Halloween decor or activities the week of Halloween? It’s not too late to get in the spirit of the holiday! Students will cherish these little moments of fun that you create and let’s face it; the week of Halloween students can be in very high spirits! We might as well embrace it and try and get some engagement through Halloween-inspired learning.
The BEST way to get some writing and ELA standards in before Halloween: These Directed Drawing Slides will automatically play one step at a time while your students follow along creating their own masterpieces. Now you will have time to actually finish that coffee we all know you weren’t getting to!!
Choose the appropriate writing page that is most applicable to your grade level and ELA instruction. Give students independent time to write on their own answering the given prompt (more time for coffee) OR guide them through it while modeling whole group.
