We all know the benefits of coloring (for both students and teachers!). Sometimes a little coloring can brighten your whole day and we want you to have the brightest days ever this year. We have shared before the benefits of coloring, but if you are new to this space here are some of our favorite reasons.
- Improved fine motor skills
- Increased student engagement
- Reduces anxiety
- Gives a creative outlet
We are Art teachers so we LOVE coloring, but we used coloring in the classroom long before becoming Art teachers. Some of our favorite resources involve coloring. When you combine coloring with a standard then it’s the best of both worlds. We don’t always mix coloring with a standard of learning; sometimes students just need to unwind and take a break. Coloring soothes the mind and is a perfect activity for a soft morning start or a calm-down corner.
Whether you are looking to tie coloring and learning together or looking for a more “mindless” resource for students, we have some options below and are sure you will find something your students will love!
